Abstract

The purpose of this study was to collect information regarding the evaluation or assessment process of Microteaching through lecture activities in the form of exercises for students in teaching and learning and classroom management. This study uses a qualitative research design (Quality Research). The process of analyzing data on students' ability to manage learning Music Arts in the practice of teaching learning in microteaching courses. As a result of this analysis, the process for evaluating the ability to manage microteaching learning must be adjusted to the observation guidelines and the rubric for assessing the ability to manage microteaching learning. Guidelines for observing the ability to manage microteaching learning pay attention to aspects and indicators of assessment, namely the ability to open lessons, ask questions, make variations, explain, manage classes, provide reinforcement, guide small group discussions, manage small group and individual learning, use spoken language, and close lessons. The rubric for assessing the ability to manage microteaching learning is used to assess 10 (ten) abilities to manage learning by paying attention to the four visible descriptors so as to obtain a score of 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4.Keywords: evaluation process, ability to manage microteaching learning, observation guidelines, assessment rubrics, teaching Practice
